Hello,
Things are going okay, the work is pretty hard right now. I GOT THE RAINCOAT. IT IS AMAZING! I can't believe you found the pink one! I guess I'm ready for the Buenos Aires rain now. Argentina, ready or not, here I come!
So not much big news this week. We did a lot more finding and really relied on the Spirit to see where we needed to go. Sometimes we would walk down a street and pray at every corner, which way we should turn. We had two really cool experiences.
First, we had an hour marked off that we were going to go see a member and teach a lesson to try and get a referral. We prayed and looked at the ward list. Sister Adorable then picked a name, and I looked it up on the map. Then, we went there. We felt good about our plan. We went to the house and knocked but no one answered. We then walked around thinking that there had to be another reason that Heavenly Father would send us to that house. We found no one and received no referrals. We then went to dinner, and the elders gave us a referral. After getting lost we finally found the house, and it was the house of the member that we had been at earlier, apparently the member has a grandmother that lives with her who is not a member. We knocked on the door and were able to have a lesson with the grandmother. Heavenly Father constantly reminds us that our time is never wasted. Which leads me to the next story...
On Saturday, we were walking around all morning. Literally from 1-5 pm, we walked in the sun (yes, I got burned) and tried to find new investigators. After a lot of hard work and prayer we got a couple referrals that didn't answer the door. We went to dinner really depressed. Then after dinner we were walking down a random street and saw two boys playing outside. We decided to knock on the door, a lady answered who has been investigating the church for 20 years, and we put her on date to be baptized on June 15th. She also has 5 children we are hoping will come to church. Because we spent all of that time working in the morning, Heavenly Father trusted us and blessed us at the end of the day.
So although the work is difficult, I know that working hard proves to the Lord that he can trust us with his prepared children. Like Eliza Walker says in the movie Legacy, "Let's help the Lord keep his promises." If we are diligent and obedient, He will bless us.
That is awesome that Anna has that new movie (Errand of Angels). At least if I am like Sister Taylor crying on the steps in the rain, I will be wearing a really cute pink rain coat :) who says you can't get through the hard times in style? haha!
I love you all!!
